I am blessed for many, many reasons. Not the least of which is that I am employed by Newby Management as their Corporate Chaplain. It is my privilege to work with a great team of fellow employees as we seek to serve the wonderful owners of our communities across the state filled with terrific residents.
As I write this I am particularly blessed because I am about to be a grandpa for the second time! Yes, we are just a few days away from welcoming our much-anticipated granddaughter.
I came across this appropriate bible verse this morning.
James 1:17
17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Whether it is my role as the Corporate Chaplain for Newby Management or being a grandpa to a sweet baby girl, I see both as gifts from my Heavenly Father. As any loving father delights in giving gifts to his children, our Heavenly Father enjoys giving His children gifts. Why? Because fathers love their kids and our Heavenly Father is no exception.
I encourage you to take a moment and think through all the blessings you have today. Trace those blessings/gifts back to the One who is ultimately responsible for giving them to you. Relish the gifts and adore your Heavenly Father! You are loved!
